As Mother’s Day approaches, I’ve gotten several requests from the husbands of a few readers for gift ideas for Mom. Sometimes regular chocolate doesn’t cut it anymore!
I’ve compiled a list of some things I’d want to get myself or gift my own mom. Feel free to add your favorite unique Mother’s Day gifts in the comments! Some of these are definitely not your typical gifts but are ones that will help Mom be healthy and happy.
How do you get a gift for the person who gave birth to you, cooked food for your entire childhood, and stayed by your side through teething/tantrums/friend drama/dating and all the other challenges of childhood?
It likely isn’t possible to find one gift that says, “Thanks for everything you’ve done for me,” but I’ve compiled a list of gifts Mom will be able to use and enjoy. These are thoughtful gifts I’d give to my own mom or that I’d be thrilled to receive from my kids.
Of course, nothing beats a heartfelt handwritten Mother’s Day card or handmade gift. If you’ve already got those covered, here’s a list of some of the best Mother’s Day gifts!
Wanting something with a little more of a personal touch? Here are DIY gifts mom will love!
If you need a last-minute Mother’s Day gift, no worries. Slip a picture of the gift in a box or a card and Mom will have something to look forward to!
I’m not always a fan of Hallmark holidays, but moms give so much day in and day out (pregnancy and childbirth, just for starters!) and certainly deserve to be celebrated. Show Mom a little (or a lot) of extra love and care this Mother’s Day and every day… hopefully, some of these ideas help!

Hi Katie,
Do you have any cookware recommendations that are not made in China? Both Our Place and Caraway are manufactured in China which is a no-go for me. Thanks.
Pretty much all cookware that I’ve found is made in China, unfortunately. Here’s some of the best options though: https://wellnessmama.com/5148/safest-cookware-options/
Here is a stainless steel option made in the USA. They have a lifetime warranty and are just wonderful.

These cast iron pans are made in the USA last time I checked.

I used the wellnessmama c oupon on the myobuddy and it only gives a 50.00 off not 150.00 off?
Amazing mothers day gift ideas. I bought a few of the gifts and my mother loved them! Thank you wellness mama for these ideas.
Can you recommend another low EMF hair dryer?
The one linked to amazon is not available.
Did I miss the post where you review low EMF hair dryers? I clicked on the Amazon link, but it doesn’t mention that at all and it doesn’t have a diffuser option for my curly hair.. I’ve never heard of this topic before! I’d appreciate more info.
I clicked the Amazon link for the hair dryer as well, hoping for more info. The Amazon listing doesn’t say anything about EMFs. One of the questions for the dryer asks if it is low EMF, and someone with the name “a manufacturer” and the “Manufacturer” badge after the name said “Yes” but I would not trust that, as there are several conflicting answers to other questions about this dryer from people with the “Manufacturer” badge. Seems like it would be a good selling point if the product did have low EMFs, so wonder why it is not written about in the description. Maybe the company isn’t aware that they have a product with a positive attribute that people are looking for. Count on Wellness Mama to know more about products than their makers!
Nice list. I like your blog amazing idea and beautiful collection of mothers day gifts.
Yes, not having to cook or clean or water or weed all day would be my fave also!
Nice list!
The cookware is nice. I do have one piece.
Do you know of anything non-stick/ceramic that is healthy, budget friendly, and isn’t too difficult to clean?
Whatever you do, do NOT waste your money on the Always pan. I bought one and in the beginning I liked it, so I bought two more for family members. The problem is that the pan is useless after 3-4 months of use. I handle my pans with kid gloves and still the coating did not hold up. Sooo disappointing. And what an expensive lesson. 🙁 I hope Katie will reconsider recommending it.
Good luck with your search and be sure to read reviews that are not linked to the product site. If i had perhaps I could have saved myself a $400-$500 loss.
I’ve had mine for over a year without any issues at all, it still works great! Maybe reach out to the company to see if yours was defective in some way?
Can you re-post the link to the blackout curtains? I have been looking for a while and haven’t been happy with the options I’ve tried. Thanks!
Here are the ones we have: https://www.amazon.com/Deconovo-Darkening-Insulated-Blackout-42×84-Inch/dp/B01HROI8DM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=wellnessmama-20&linkId=8326b57b18687af46b8bd12d25e8d94a&language=en_US
Pop Socket and Clip, eases holding the phone when using on speaker phone. pops down flat for storage, or slides into clip for hands free vehicle phone / tablet mount.
I would Love a Mighty Fix gift subscription. Surprise gift each month that is a healthy household item.
…And I just bought myself a dry brush. Happy Mother’s Day to me. 😉
I am laughing b/c I was just on Amazon buying myself blackout curtains. I will call that a Mother’s Day gift to myself!
These are very thoughtful and unique ideas. One more my mom loves is the “I’m Tickled You’re My Mom” gift box for a birthday or Mother’s day. With it mom can grow the only plant that will close its leaves and lower its branches when tickled or blown a kiss. Found this online and Amazon.
Lol not sure about any cleaning products… I would feel like a highly valued maid with that one. But great ideas all around. Chocolate? Yes please! And a massage in any form would be highly welcomed 😉
I freakin love my natural light alarm clock! I had a wind chime clock before, which is also way better than a normal alarm clock (no soul sucking beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep), but even with that, I always felt like my wake up was too abrupt. Thanks for reminding me my mom could use one too!
These are such great ideas! Thanks for sharing!
